People ask me why that is? I usually tell them in a short sentence, "If you clean your coins, they will be worth less and they will be much better looking in original condition." If you think that by cleaning coins, they will be worth more in value, then you are absolutely wrong about that idea. I have been dealing with coins for over 10 years myself and ever since day 1, I have never cleaned any of my coins. The other reason is that the history behind all the dirt, black spots, or other blemishes on a certain coin. I will buy all type of coins, but please, do not clean your coins.
*Sometimes when you clean your coins, the value can be decreased more than by 50% of its original estimated value...
